The most important thing of being a successful marketer is knowing your products well. If you are new in the business, you should learn about the basic things about your products, and learn more later for the whole package very soon.

Your customers may give you consideration about being new in the business but how long they will give you their kindness until you can master the whole package of your products ? They can not wait and most of customers are impatient persons, they want the best people to handle them, not a newbie or amateur, they need a professional one. They want someone that can give them answers about the product fast, or give them the solution about it. They may tolerate if you need to ask other persons in the business for something that you do not know or you are not sure about it. But it can make your position incompetence to the customers.

How do you master the whole package of your products ?

 

Some of people think of being a marketer as an easy thing to do, some people think it is hard, some think it is bugging / annoying people, some think it is not an exclusive job to have, some think it is an easy way to make money and other things that people can think of.

Maybe people just see what they see in marketing people, or maybe people already tried it before, but first thing that people should know and considerate more about being a marketer is : “Do i really want to do this marketing thing ?” There are so many factors inside you that will affect your career in marketing.

You can see a successful marketer with high level position, high salary, big compensation and benefits, flexible working hours, meeting clients outside office, and other glamorous things that make different with other people who work in the office, as in back office for example. But what you does not or may not see is what and how they do beyond those to make them success in their career. You should elaborate the things first to understand how the marketer works and to know whether you are suitable and comfortable enough with the factors required or not.
